Brendan has done a little bit of everything since joining Madlab. He's designed the lights and set for STRIPPED AWAY, THE QUINTESSENTIAL ROULETTE, and co-designed THEATRE ROULETTE 2009 and 2008 with Andy Batt. He has appeared on stage in “Duet for Virtual Particles” (ROULETTE 2008), STRIPPED AWAY, two THEATRE 24's, the THEATRE 48, and THE KILLING ROOM. He can be seen online in several Trailers for Madlab shows, and a mime rap video. He's directed “Silent Words” (3 in 30 COMMUNICATION), and assisted directed THE KILLING ROOM. His scripts “Silent Words”, “Criminal Masterminds” (3 in 30 MAYBE) and “Sacrilege” (3 in 30 ABANDON) have been produced for the 3 in 30 AfterWords project. Outside of MadLab he's been the lighting designer for the Columbus Performing Arts Center's Production of SKIN OF OUR TEETH, as well as CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY. He was the Technical Director for Bison Theatre. He has a tendency to help new theatre companies get off their feet by serving as the Technical Director for the first shows Miscreant Theatre, Evolution Theatre Company, an ad hoc theatre company, Shenanigan Theatre, Racontuer Theatre, and Better Get a Napkin Film produced. In the future he would like to see more of his scripts produced, perhaps outside of Columbus. |
