Synopsis
Stuffed in their Uptown apartment, actress Lucy and working stiff Ethan mourn the recent loss of their stillborn child while struggling to forgive each other their failings and bridge the ever-widening gulf between them. Lucy lives in seclusion, obsessively crafting the perfect Facebook post to memorialize a daughter she’ll never know while Ethan strives to project an air of “everything’s fine” on the eve of a family celebration. Set on one wintry night in Chicago, Lucy and Ethan must confront whether there’s anything left between them to save.
cast and crew
This may be the first time Rachel Cagle (Lucy) is taking the stage in a full-length production at MadLab, but she’s far from new to The Lab. Although, this will be the first time she won’t be screaming in German, haunted by ghosts and/or sleep paralysis demons, or tempted by the devil like in Young Writers 2020 and 2021 and Marvel Staged Readings. She’d like to thank all of you for coming and her fellow cast and crew members for making this show so much fun!

Ian George (Ethan) is making his long-awaited theatrical return since taking a hiatus post-college productions. After playing roles such as Doctor Frank N. Furter for two years in The Rocky Horror Picture Show and a promiscuous father infatuated with a squid in The Addams Family Musical, he's excited to take center stage for the first time at MadLab as Ethan in Sheridan. [add pleasantries for the audience] written by Rachel Cagle.

Amanda Khosraviani (Piper) is a native West Virginian. She is the middle sister of 5 and an an aunt to 10 nieces and nephews! Amanda thanks her parents, Lou and Kenny, for nurturing her passion for theatre from the age of 10, and her husband Ali for encouraging her to pursue what makes her truly happy: theatre. She has performed in over 15 different productions in her 25 years of life. Amanda is one of those crazy 7th grade English teachers in Columbus. When she isn’t lesson planning or grading papers, she enjoys practicing Spanish, traveling, yoga, community building activities, and cuddling her dog Hershey.

Erik Bobbitt (Mark) is thrilled to be making his Madlab debut. Previous roles include Thomas in Venus in Fur, Adam in Someone Who’ll Watch Over Me, and Sarge in the Columbus original Nighthawks, as well as various roles in musicals with the Butterfly Guild and Imagine Productions. He’s only able to be here tonight because his wife Rachel is an absolute superhero and his infant son Silas is such a little champ. He loves them both very much.

Reagan Hyer (Waitress) is a pansexual, transgender actress new to the Columbus area. She is appearing on stage for the third time at MadLab Theatre, after performing in The Part of Me and as Patsy in eMBer Women's Theatre production of Terms of Endearment. Other favourite performances include The Vagina Monologues (Sinclair College) and A Midsummer Night's Dream (Sinclair College). As always, she is delighted to help bring theatre all who attend! *Insert dramatic flourish*

Stephen Woosley (Justin) is an actor/director/writer/producer, ensemble member at MadLab (madlab.net) and Artistic Director of the OGP theatre troupe (https://www.facebook.com/OGPColumbus). He is excited to be back on stage at MadLab for the 18th year. He is also a co-host of the Star Trek rewatch podcast, It’s All Been Trekked Before at iabdpresents.com. He has 2 cats, Chloe and Hermy. He is not a cat. Greg is.

As someone usually on the stage, Michelle Sandler (Stage Manager) is thrilled to be a part of Sheridan behind the scenes as assistant director and stage manager. Michelle has been a shapeshifter- I MEAN ACTOR, for many years, and is excited to be a part of the Madlab family. Michelle hopes you love this show and appreciates all the hard work and effort from the actors and the production team. She thanks her IT coworkers for always being supportive (and only kind of being schmucks), her partner who keeps her upright and fed, and her cat for waking her up every morning at 3 am.
