If you imagined a show that mashed up Pee-Wee’s Playhouse and Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, congratulations, you can imagine The Sick World of Doctor Show! We’ve got sketch comedy! Original video! And (if you’re good) spooky FUN! Yes, that’s right folks – The Creature, Trixie the Dancing Skeleton, and, you guessed it, Doctor Show himself will come back from beyond… and THIS time, who the heck even KNOWS what they’ve brought with them??? (They probably don’t, that’s for sure). We DARE you to see this Columbus Halloween tradition with your very own eyeballs! Rich Talarico is a Peabody® Award-winning writer/producer, known for his work on Key & Peele, with multiple Emmy® and WGA Award nominations. Credits include MADtv, The Tonight Show and SNL. Second City and Improv Olympic alum. Rich also contributed punch-up work on Mean Girls and Get Out.
Join Rich, a 30 year improv vet and alumnus of The Second City and Improv Olympic, as he leads a workshop that will leave you with new tools to create organic characters and worlds on-the-spot. Full participation and auditing options available. It's odd timing we know, but Rich's travel schedule is tight--so we're pleased to host him. |

Calling All Young Playwrights!
MadLab in downtown Columbus is now accepting submissions for our 15th Annual Young Writers Short Play Festival! High school students across central Ohio are invited to submit original short plays (10 minutes long or 10 pages in length) for a chance to have their work professionally produced on the MadLab stage. As a MadLab Young Writer, students will:
• Take part in writing workshops • Work one-on-one with professional theatre mentors • See their scripts come to life in a full production • Free to participate. No cost to students! – Submission Deadline: December 31, 2025 – Complete submission guidelines and Tips For Success are located on the Submissions Form.
