When Petra, a government agent, arrives to investigate, Linden’s family—mother, father, uncle, aunt—must decide whether to save him at all costs or help bring him to justice. THE WAVE THAT SET THE FIRE explores the responsibility parents bear for the actions of their children and how the choices of previous generations affect those who come after.

Director: Kyle, when not catching up on sleep or laundry, can frequently be seen cleaning, selling tickets, acting, directing, and herding cats at MadLab. She’s been around since 2014 and they haven’t driven her away yet. Special thanks to Laura and Colleen for believing she could do this. Thanks to the cast for being amazing. To Kate, Michelle, and the whole crew for keeping on top of everything. And, to you, I guess? No, seriously, we couldn’t do this without you. Do you want a beer?

Stage Manager/Set Design: Kate Hawthorne would like to thank her thespian crocodile parents for not eating her when she first fell into the swamp. She has enjoyed a varied career in theatre by painting sets, designing hats, wrangling actors, and softly weeping in the sound booth. She still firmly believes that Samuel Beckett's crusty ghost needs to settle down and she hopes you enjoy the show!

Colleen needs to get more sleep, but at least she’s having fun while she’s awake. You might have seen her in any of a number of MadLab productions, or just walking quickly through the building looking frazzled. She also works with OGProductions, Wild Women Writing, and the Short North Stage in her “free time”. (Insert raucous laughter here.)

Dustin is excited to be performing in his second show with Madlab! Last year, he played Gunner in Counter/Top. Most recently, he was seen in SRO's Company as Peter. In Columbus, he has also been in Sideshow and Reefer Madness. During the day, he works for the Franklin County Board of Developmental Disabilities.

Susie McGarry is a Cleveland native who moved to Columbus by way of New Orleans. She made her MadLab debut as hitwoman, "Mercer", in The Last Word - part of 2017's Theater Roulette. Susie is a certified hypnotist who leads guided meditations at The Vanderelli Room in Franklinton and plans to hire a personal sushi chef should she ever become wealthy.

Max grew up in Phoenix and has lived in Delaware, Ohio for several years. He just finished a run as Wargrave in Cyclodrama's production of And Then There Were None and has performed in The Rocky Horror Show and Evil Dead-The Musical since returning to the stage after a 20 year hiatus while he focused on life and stuff. He's excited to work with MadLab and grateful for the opportunity and looks forward to more involvement in the Columbus community now that he's moved down here to be a part of it.
