WCT'S AFTER DARK SERIES PRESENTS:
The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee follows an unusual group of kids as they nervously make their way through a local spelling bee. While candidly revealing hilarious and heartfelt anecdotes from their home lives, these kids spell their way through a series of increasingly difficult words. The audience is invited to participate in the bee alongside the spellers, creating a unique show experience that explores the struggles of navigating adolescence, the desire to fit in, and the insurmountable pressure to be a winner and especially NOT a loser.
• While the show is a comedy about adolescence, it also explores some themes that may be too mature for younger audiences. Parental guidance is strongly advised.

@ THE LAB 4/29, TBCO PRESENTS:
MINNIE WAYS TO LOVE - A one-man show about redemption, epiphany, and wisdom learned from the matriarch of the family, Minnie Taylor. This sometimes all-too-real comedic rollercoaster of life, love, and all things in between invites the audience into a world that should become a movie, play, or book. But for now, Z. F. Taylor is sharing the journey in his own words with a few surprise guest appearances.

Morning Sun, by Simon Stephens, IS a poignant drama that traces the life of Charley McBride over five decades within a Greenwich Village apartment. Through the intertwined stories of three generations—Charley, her mother Claudette, and her daughter Tessa—the play delves into themes of family, identity, and memory. As they navigate love, loss, and the complexities of their relationships, their personal journeys unfold against the ever-changing backdrop of New York City. Inspired by Edward Hopper’s painting Morning Sun, which portrays a solitary woman gazing out of a window, the play echoes themes of introspection and self-reflection.
